Visual Merchandising
My role is all about creating a great place for customers to shop. My colleagues and I will look at
everything from the layout of fixtures, mannequin styling, and the standard of merchandise presentation
to the training and development of staff.
I'm proud to work for Bhs as it is a business that is continually looking at ways to improve. This is a
business that never stops! Personally, I get a great amount of satisfaction and pride when I can stand
back and say to myself that all the hard work I've put into a project, big or small, has really paid
off both visually and commercially.
Visual Merchandising at Bhs is a constantly evolving area of the business where you can make a real
difference and the great culture means that support from colleagues is just a phone call away.
Pritesh - Visual Merchandiser
I have grown up at Bhs as I started my career in stores as a Saturday Sales Associate. I then went on to
join the management training scheme and progressed to Store Manager. The great thing about Bhs is the
opportunities it offers to progress throughout the business. I have worked in stores, in International
and am now based in head office. I have always felt really supported when taking on the challenge of
a new role in a different area of the business.
I currently work in the Home and Gifts Department as Visual Merchandising Manager, and the thing I enjoy
the most about working within this area is that I get to work with the best products, and know that I can
create a fantastic shopping experience to inspire our customers. There is something satisfying when a
customer comes up to tell you in store how fantastic it looks or how amazing the windows look.
Working at Bhs can be hard work and challenging but that is one of the reasons why we remain one of the
leading High St brands and why we are still a growing business after 80 years of trading.
